Old ways is 14 sample-ready compositions inspired by the old west and otherworldly sounds.
Summer of ‘22 was monumental for me. I drove cross country and moved to LA, with the help of my dad. On the drive out west we visited Stax Records, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon for the first time. To say the history and natural beauty inspired me is an understatement - because it was so much more than that. Those memories are encapsulated in OLD WAYS and I want to share it with you.
In making Old Ways, I used a combination of vintage and modern guitars, synthesizers, microphones, preamps, and compressors. All samples were processed through a Revox A77 tape machine.
